R.I.P.D. Releases New Images – Get Your Fix Now

R.I.P.D. has us pretty excited, though very nervous, and it’s one of the first movies in a while that has caused this strange mix of anticipation. We’ll be reviewing it on the podcast this week, but for now we have some new images from the film. Ru? Instant Reaction Review Podcast Ep. 63 – Monsters University Review

Our Monsters University review episode got a bit lost in a listener question, and there’s a good reason we let that happen. Not only did we only find the movie average, when it’s a Pixar movie, that makes us especially unhappy, and doesn’t lend itself to wanting to rip on it longer than necessary.
Of course, there is also the fact that Pixar movies, and all animated titles, are to some degree review proof anyway, so why bother? Still, we did get to the movie, and you know you want to know what we said.
The first 40 minutes are devoted to a listener question about our thoughts on the upcoming summer titles, which spawns from the fact that we have mentioned repeatedly that we were disappointed with last summer.

Pacific Rim Review – Robots And Monsters Are The Stars And The Entire Plot

With Guillermo del Toro at the helm, it might seem that a Pacific Rim review would serve more of a purpose, but it turns out that the effort lands in the same category as a review of a Transformers film. If there’s a fair chance you’ll like it going in, you probably will (in fact, you’ll love it), and you’d be hard-pressed to talk anyone into or out of it.
It’s giant robots fighting giant, godzilla-esque monsters, and summer, popcorn, check your brain at the door extravaganza could hardly have a more suitable champion. But, knowing del Toro, you might expect a little something more among the usual ingredients. If so, you’re going to be disappointed.
