What the Enterprise Agreement offers:

The Basics

The Microsoft Enterprise Agreement (EA) is the best licensing program for organizations that want to standardize IT across the enterprise yet retain the flexibility to choose from on-premises and cloud services.

The EA brings you:

  • Attractive volume pricing

  • Full benefits of Software Assurance

  • Flexibility to transition to cloud services at your own pace

  • Simplified license management though a single company-wide agreement

  • Flexible, cost-effective, manageable licensing

Cloud Services

Choose cloud services to best suit your user needs and help optimize your technology spend. Through your EA you can:

  • Transition to cloud services at your own pace

  • Move users back and forth between on-premises software and cloud services

  • Match and adjust online service plans to meet users' needs

  • Add and adjust new online service users above your EA commitment

Enrollment Options

Choose among enrollment options to help you license solution-focused technology suites of Microsoft application, system and infrastructure products.

Volume Pricing

At the onset of your three-year agreement, pricing is based on a tiered volume structure, meaning the greater the size of your organization the less you’ll pay for individual licenses.

You can realize additional purchasing benefits when you:

  • Choose Enrollments to license combinations of Microsoft’s application, system and infrastructure products

  • Choose a subscription program option to lower initial licensing costs since you do not own, but rather subscribe to, the rights to use Microsoft products and services

  • Use Spread Payments to pay for purchases in three annual installments without incurring additional financing charges

  • Choose Microsoft Payment Solutions to help finance a complete range of technology needs, including software, services, partner products, and hardware.

Enterprise Subscription Program Options

For the Enterprise Enrollment, Enrollment for Core Infrastructure and Enrollment for Windows Azure, the EA provides a subscription program option. This option offers:

  • A lower initial cost based on a three-year subscription.

  • The ability to increase or decrease subscription counts on an annual basis.

  • Non-perpetual licenses that end with your subscription term.

  • Learn more in the Enterprise Agreement Program Guide.

Software Assurance

Software Assurance (SA) helps you get the most from your Microsoft purchases. Benefits such as 24x7 support, deployment planning services, end-user and technical training, and the latest software releases are combined in one cost-effective program.

And if you are considering moving aspects of your IT to the cloud, SA delivers even more value by helping you plan your cloud migration and manage your on-premises and hybrid environments.
