Use classroom training to:

  • Prepare your IT staff to efficiently deploy, manage and support new software

  • Keep current with technology without impacting your budget

With Software Assurance Technical Training, you get instructor-led courses from a Microsoft Learning Partner. Developed by Microsoft experts, these in-depth courses are designed to help your IT staff deploy, manage and support new software.

SA training programs lowered costs for both IT staff and end-user training. When utilized, training vouchers and E-Learning courses can reduce IT staff software training by as much as 65%-75%.

Before you use:

Allocate Course Days
You get a set number of technical classroom training days, transacted as Training Voucher days, based on the number of qualifying licenses covered with Software Assurance.

Technical Training options are designed to directly support new software deployments and to update the skills of your IT staff. Course examples include Configuring, Managing and Troubleshooting Microsoft Exchange Server 2010; Configuring, Configuring and Administering Microsoft SharePoint 2010; Administering System Center 2012 Configuration Manager.

Create Training Vouchers
Your Software Assurance benefits manager gets the process started by creating Training Vouchers through VLSC and distributing them to staff who will be taking the relevant technical course(s).

When you use:

Choose a Course
To view eligible courses for which you may use your SA Benefits, under Program, select SA and in Product Type, select Classroom.

Select Partner Location and Schedule Training
Once you’ve determined the course you want, locate and contact a Microsoft Learning Partner to reserve and schedule the training. At this time, your Microsoft Learning Partner will receive your training voucher and confirm the location—typically at the training partner’s facilities (or at your location if you and your Microsoft Learning Partner arrange it).

Complete Training
After you complete your course, the Microsoft Learning Partner processes your voucher and is reimbursed by Microsoft. Unless the length of your training exceeds the training days available to you through SA, you will not be asked for payment.
