In July 2012, the GRU/UGA Medical Partnership moved to the 58-acre UGA Health Sciences Campus near downtown Athens.
Theodora Brandon has completed her first two years of school at the GRU/UGA Medical Partnership and is currently immersed in her MPH curriculum at the UGA College of Public Health.
The GRU/UGA Medical Partnership combines the experience of one of the nation’s first medical schools with the resources of the Georgia’s most comprehensive research university. The result is an education that allows students to reach their full potential in a unique learning environment.
The White Coat Scholarship Initiative was launched in 2010 with a goal of increasing access to public medical education in Georgia. The fundraising teams of the Georgia Health Sciences University and the University of Georgia are working together on this critical program.
GRU/UGA Medical Partnership faculty member recently received grant funding for study addressing intercellular heme trafficking.
