CBI around the world

CBI Offices in Washington DC, Beijing, Delhi and Brussels work with our team in London to help CBI members prosper globally. We deal with both established and high growth markets with a focus on the EU, US, China, India, Brazil, Russia, Japan and Turkey

With our global reach of offices, involvement in multilateral forums and strong links to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and UK Trade & Investment, we make an impact on a range of international issues from market liberalisation to climate change to labour markets.

Information

CBI members receive intelligence on the issues affecting their businesses globally. We provide analysis of the trends and opportunities in Europe, the US, China and India, and insight on growing markets such as Brazil and Turkey. All our campaigns - which have aims such as increasing exports, liberalising trade, tackling climate change and increasing labour market flexibility, reflect a truly international perspective

Lobbying

The CBI lobbies in the UK, in Europe and beyond to tackle barriers to operating overseas and create conditions that encourage businesses to export. We engage with governments internationally through our offices in Brussels, the US, China and India, work with sister organisations through BUSINESSEUROPE, and influence around the world through the B20/G20, BIAC/OECD, IOE and UN organisations

Networking

We arrange events for members in the UK and in the countries where we have offices, providing opportunities to meet ministers, British ambassadors, officials, and companies operating internationally. We help members to get involved with  trade missions to enable them to expand their business overseas
