General Studies is a subject that offers something to everyone. It is taken as an additional A level subject in Year 12 and 13. It is taught in two lessons per cycle in Year 12, in small classes that enable students the opportunity to voice their own opinions, develop their reasoning skills, construct valid arguments and interact in a number of activities. The curriculum is broad and varied and uses current news stories and subjects as a starting point to thinking about many contemporary issues facing society today.
