A Total of 3 Swiss Business Schools Make the QS Top 200 List

Lausanne, Switzerland – 16 January 2012 – An employer choice based ratings system, implemented by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds Limited), ranks Business School Lausanne among the top 200 business schools worldwide and # 3 in Switzerland.

With only 67 European schools selected in the top 200 ranking, Switzerland is represented with three internationally recognized business schools ranked among their European and global peers. In 2009/10 five Swiss schools made the ranking, in 2010/11 only four. The three Swiss business schools that continue to be recognized internationally in the increasingly competitive MBA landscape are IMD (#8), University of St. Gallen (#18) and Business School Lausanne (#59).

The rating provides a detailed overview of the world's most recognized and valued business schools by employers, based on input provided to QS by over 2,000 employers who actively recruit MBA graduates. The "QS Global 200 Business Schools Report 2011/12" consists of 82 schools in North America, 67 schools in Europe, 36 schools in Asia-Pacific, 10 schools in Latin America and 5 schools in Africa and the Middle East. No other piece of MBA research covers such a geographically diverse set of schools.

European business schools continue to be at the forefront of innovation in business education, ensuring they attract top international talent which in turn attracts global MBA employers. Business schools in Europe are particularly good at attracting an internationally diverse applicant pool, which translates into high percentages of international diversity in their MBA classes.

The QS methodology used HR managers and managers with recruiting responsibilities at companies around the world to compile a list of the world’s Top 200 Business Schools, including the 67 European schools. Employers were asked to use the list to vote for the schools offering the best in quality programs.
