On July 27, Acting Dean of Science Louise Milligan announced the following: New Directors for Surface Science Western and Network for Materials, Analytical and Characterization Facilities
Dr. Brian Branfireun of the Department of Biology and the Center for Environment and Sustainability, has accepted a three year term as the Network Director of the newly formed Network for Materials, Analytical and Characterization Facilities hosted within the Faculty of Science.
Dr. David Shoesmith of the Department of Chemistry has accepted a five
year term as Scientific Director of Surface Science Western beginning
August 1, 2011. David assumes this role under the new network structure
of the Materials Analytical and Characterization Facilities in the
Faculty of Science.
