Q: How do I apply for a job at MTV Networks?

A: Well you found this website, so you're headed in the right direction. Search our current job openings by clicking the "Jobs" tab above and using the job search engine. When you find what you want to apply for, click the "Apply for this Position" button. Follow the instructions to fill out the online form or upload your resume. Then let cyberspace and our recruiting wizards do the rest.

Q: When will I hear back about my application?

A: Due to the large number of applications we receive, we unfortunately cannot respond to everyone who applies. If we like what we see and are considering you for a position, a hiring manager will contact you. And while we can appreciate those with a take-charge kind of attitude, please do not call or e-mail to follow up on your application.

Q: How do I apply for an internship at MTV Networks?

A: MTV Networks internships offer qualified full-time college students and recent grads the opportunity to put their know-how to use and get practical real-world experience. The MTV Networks Summer Associate Program is a highly competitive 10-week paid training program for go-getters who are in their final semester of a bachelor's or master's degree program and who are pursuing a career in the media or entertainment industry. Q: I'm having trouble using the site or applying to jobs, what should I do?

A: Thank you for your interest in MTV Networks and visiting our site.  If you've forgotton your password, you can request it under the 'returning applicants' section on the Jobs tab.  You only need to create one profile in our system.  A single profile is attached to a unique emaill address, you can apply to multiple jobs with a single profile.  Please be sure to complete all required fields marked with an asterisk (*) before submitting your application and note the acceptable resume formats (DOC, DOCX, RTF, PDF, TXT, HTML). 

Q:  I'm having trouble updating my Resume attachment?

A: When you try replacing the File, you'll need to press submit before you will see that the new document has been attached.  Please try to upload --> press Submit button at the bottom of application page --> and then view your application again, the updated resume can now be seen.

Q:  What is RSS?

A:  This site syndicates content via RSS (Really Simple Syndication) — which is an XML-based format for sharing and distributing Web content. RSS makes it easy to keep track of new MTV Networks jobs, or create a unique feed for all jobs in a certain combination of cities or department categories.  Using an RSS reader, you can view data feeds from various news sources and blog sites in a central location.

Q:  How do I sign up for RSS feeds? What is an RSS reader?

A:  To subscribe to RSS feeds, you need an RSS Reader (or Feed/News Aggregator). These programs (and services) will download and display RSS feeds for you. A number of free and commercial News Aggregators are available for download.  Many aggregators are separate, "stand-alone" programs; other services will let you add RSS feeds to a Web page.
