Default Newest Seven Soldiers in DC Legacies #2 (Spoilers)

TNT and Dan the Dynamite????

I like them, but do we need this time period to be messed with anymore?

(Along with Wonder Woman...she's in, she's out, she's Hippolyta, Hipp's gone....)

And, IF TNT and Dan are in, doesn't that UNDO Young All-Stars (where TNT dies???)

Or does Alias the Spider just join AFTER the death of TNT?

(I LOVE DC Legacies, but the mess that DC history is....not so much!)

As far as retcons go, I don't mind this at all.

Since GA and Speedy were removed from the team as a result of CoIE, DC's been tinkering those 2 slots ever since and Dan & TNT actually fit better than most historically (since they were under the same publishing house structure as the other members/characters of the original SSoV) as original members.

Nope, because the SSoV could have been founded before YAS #1. Dan & TNT have only been retconned into being founding members.

They've been messing with Golden Age continuity for years. This is not anything new and personally I'm used to it.

Thanks for posting because I don't plan to read this series. I've been reading DC for over 30 years and don't need another primer on what happened when.

Regarding TNT and Dan, I think this is a great idea. Those characters have nothing going on in the currrent time period. If putting them on the SSoV gets them more popularity in the current time period -- either during flashbacks or legacies -- then that will really be a plus for these characters.

YAS was fun while it lasted but is so far out of continuity these days, that I just don't care about trying to uphold its premise anymore. Also, it seems pretty clear that the Golden Age is a standalone story outside continuity.

Actually, it's not a refresher course or a primer on history amazingly enough.

It's a well crafted story about the impact these characters had on the average citizen when they debuted, and how they were received (and perceived) by the common man, woman and child at the time they debuted.

This story isn't about the Golden Age characters and their history, again it's about their impact on society in various ways.
