Is there a difference with completely turning off the Wii and turning off the Wii but leaving it in Standby Mode? (such as if there is more electricity being used in Standby Mode, battery power draining in the synced Wii Remotes in Standby Mode while the Wii is off)
oh okay, the last time I left my Wii in standby mode, I noticed that the battery power on my Wii remote drained quickly, I am not sure how this happened but I do remember this happening

A Wii Remote will automatically power off in approximately five minutes if none of the buttons have been pressed or it hasn't been picked up during that time, so you might want to check the remote to see if it does shut down (no lit blue lights), whether your console is in standy mode or not.:)
