Students, faculty, and staff may redirect their official syr.edu e-mail to another address, such as @hotmail.com, @gmail.com, @Yahoo.com, or @aol.com. The University recommends that students access their official syr.edu e-mail account by using MyMail. Students who choose to redirect their syr.edu e-mail to another address do so at their own risk.
Before syr.edu e-mail can be redirected to another account, you must first activate your NetID. Information about activating your NetID is on the NetID Services Web page.
After activating your NetID, follow these steps:
- Click on "Manage Your NetID"
- Log on to the system with your NetID and password
- Select "Change syr.edu mail delivery" and fill in the requested information
