Custom Multimedia Room (TELE)

What does this product do?

Custom Multimedia Room (CMR), formerly known as TELE Room, is a classroom equipped with a specific combination of various multimedia devices that enhance presentation and teaching capabilities. Although equipment can vary in the CMR, common uses include:

  • Showing slides, presentations and movies
  • Playing a CD/DVD
  • Using the Internet

Special effects such as lighting and sound are often controlled through the CMR controller.

How do I obtain this product?

To schedule a room throughout a semester/term, contact the Academic Scheduling Office at (801) 422-6557. There is a priority scheduling period each semester/term in which departments may schedule a room before it becomes available to other non-departmental parties.

If you wish to temporarily use a room for activities such as conferences, workshops or guest lectures, contact Campus Scheduling at (801) 422-3134. Arrangements for such activities should be made through the sponsoring department.

For a list of current facility locations across campus, refer to the link(s) in the left sidebar.

What are the choices?

Additional multimedia equipment may be scheduled through the Office of IT by calling (801) 422-4000.

Possible Equipment includes:

  • CMR controller
  • Projector
  • Cable & TV/VCR
  • DVD player
  • LD player
  • VCR
  • Computer (& Ethernet)
