'I will take everyone to court': Swati Maliwal accuses Delhi ministers of spreading lies about her

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha member Swati Maliwal, who was allegedly assaulted by Arvind Kejriwal’s aide, Bibhav Kumar, lashed out at the party for “spreading lies” about her.
Referring to an FIR against her, she posted on X on Monday, “Since yesterday, Delhi ministers are spreading lies that an FIR has been filed against me for corruption, hence I did all this on the instructions of BJP.This FIR was lodged 8 years ago in 2016 after which both the CM and LG appointed me as the chairperson of the women’s commission twice more.

The case is completely fake on which the hon’ble high court has stayed for 1.5 years, who have accepted that no money transaction has taken place.” She alleged that functionaries of AAP were endangering the lives of her relatives by tweeting details of their vehicle numbers.
“Well, lies don’t last long. But in the obsession of humiliating someone in the intoxication of power, don’t let it be that when the truth comes out, you can’t even face your families,” she stated. “I will take you to court for every lie you spread!”
Meanwhile, Delhi Police registered a case on Monday in connection with the AAP protest that was held in central Delhi a day earlier. A senior officer said the case was registered under Section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public servant) of the IPC. “There was no permission given to the protest. The protesters had violated Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code,” police said.
