Best time of year to visit Amalfi Coast
One of the most scenic holiday destinations in Italy lies along the southern edge of the Sorrentine Peninsula. The best time to visit the scenic Amalfi Coast is from April to October when it's warm and sunny. In April and May, this heavenly place is exceptionally beautiful with wisteria and bougainvillaea blooming. At this time, the coast is not so crowded, and visitors can listen to classical music concerts by the sea at Ravello Festival. If you want to see the authentic local celebrations, come to Amalfi town on June 27 and November 30 for Festa di Sant' Andrea, the patron saint of the town and protector of fishermen. July and August tend to be hot and crowded with beach-goers and cruise travellers. From late October roughly until Easter Week, lots of local restaurants and hotels close for the season.
