Excellent conditions, great party dynamics. Part of a Mountaineers trip, and all 10 of us summited. Planned accordingly to tag the summit before getting tangled up in the many other climbing parties on the mountain.
Day 1: TH to Muir Snowfield (9800') Day 2: Snowfield to Ingraham Flats Day 3: Summitted at 5am, returned to parking lot at 5pm
During the day, there was trickling water right under Muir Peak where parties were setting up camp, but not in the cold of the morning. There was also water between the Cathedral Rocks and the Flats, maybe 15 minutes before hitting camp. In retrospect, it would have been much more efficient for us to have sent back a few climbers to gather water than to spend several hours melting it in camp.
Bootpack is in great condition and easily navigable. Recent changes in the crevasses necessitated adjustments to the trail at some point, but this was just long enough ago that the "old trail" is easily discernable from the new, in addition to the wands. As mentioned elsewhere, there's a ladder at about 13k'. When we arrived, there was no Picket (Ranger later said it was stolen!) and so we had to place one.
Upper mountain was pretty windy, with gusts that would knock us off balance, but it was clear / no precip.
Descent was not particularly memorable other than the traffic jam of climbing parties making their way up. It is definitely in your favor to leave exceptionally early to at least beat out the guided climbers. (we left the Flats at 11pm, and were the first to send)
The usual circus below Pebble Creek.
PS: If you find a very full purple Nalgene below Anvil Rock somewhere... do not drink it. It's uhh, already been drank once...
