About Manufacture 2030

Climate change is the greatest threat of our time. Let’s solve it together.

Manufacture 2030 is a fast growth purpose-led company accelerating global progress towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We provide companies of all sizes with the certainty they need to hit GHG emissions reduction targets, be it a global corporation or an SME within their supply chain. Our unique software platform and support services help measure, manage and reduce environmental impact in line with

the latest climate science at a global scale. We give our clients in the pharmaceutical, chemical, retail, automotive and fast-moving consumer goods sectors the confidence they need to hit their carbon reduction targets, while offering their suppliers the opportunity to enhance their operational efficiency, procure more sustainably and drive down costs.

Our History and Culture

We have a track record of pioneering new ways to spread sustainable practices across manufacturing supply chains around the world. We partnered with global brands and worked with thousands of their manufacturing suppliers, down to the plant level, to reduce environmental impact. Not everything we have tried has worked, but a lot has. And we made it our mission to learn even more. Four years ago we brought all the best bits together and launched Manufacture 2030. Our name was specifically chosen to align with the Sustainable Development Goals, intended to be achieved by 2030 and defined as ‘the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.’ We are a purpose-driven and dedicated team of genuinely nice people who love what they do. We all share one common value – the determination to reduce global impacts on our environment and support our clients’ carbon reduction targets. Find out more about us here.

The Role

Title: Head of Product – Climate Program

Location: Hybrid: Oxford, UK Office and Remote

Remuneration: £60,000–£70,000 Dependent on Experience

Tenure: Full Time

Reporting to: Chief Product Officer

Are you inspired by the prospect of joining a fast growth and market-leading tech business that’s on a mission to tackle climate change by accelerating the transition to low carbon?

We’re now on the hunt for an experienced learning professional with sustainability understanding and experience, who can lead the design and development of our virtual Climate Action Program.

Manufacture 2030’s clients are looking for us to help deliver transformational change to the carbon impact of their supply chains. The Climate Action Program is a big part of what differentiates Manufacture 2030 from our peers. It provides high quality online resources and support for businesses big and small to help them identify and implement opportunities to reduce their scope 3 carbon emissions.

The Head of Product – Climate Program is responsible for developing an engaging platform of relevant technical content and shared resources and materials,

all of which is delivered in an accessible and userfriendly way. The Program currently includes recorded training videos, a calendar of live events, a network of partner organizations offering beneficial rates to Manufacture 2030 customers, best practice templates, and much more.

As our work expands in scale and ambition, so too will our Climate Program. Already the Program serves a growing customer base in the thousands, spread across 70 countries, and covering multiple industries and individual job roles. This role requires a creative and curious mind, a keen interest in behaviour change, and a good understanding of environmental sustainability topics – as well as a desire to keep learning.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for evolving and maintaining the design of the Climate Action Program and curating its activities and services. Your colleagues in the customer success team will then work directly with our supplier clients as they access the Program to support them on their journey (you can read the job description for the Head of Climate Action here.)

You will need to engage with both major blue-chip clients (the supply chain owners) and their suppliers (their supply chain) to understand their ambitions and challenges when it comes to decarbonising (recognising that this is incredibly complicated across scope 3 emissions). Equipped with this information, you will design and source new content for the Climate Action Program, taking into consideration regional audiences and industry variations.

A key aspect of the role will be building relationships with other partners who can help our customers to reduce their scope 3 emissions. Creating a network of expert partners to contribute to the Climate Action Program will enable us to pilot new service opportunities. For example, the Program is currently piloting direct access to green finance opportunities in the US with an established partner.

To be successful you will need to grow and lead the Climate Action Program team (to circa 5 people), develop new partnerships and implement KPIs to measure the impact of your work. You will represent Manufacture 2030 at relevant industry events and working groups, helping to position the Program as an industry leading service. It will also be part of your role to ensure the Program is visible, attractive and consistently promoted to our network.
