Gunumuzde seralarin tasarimi amaciyla guvenli ve pratik sekilde istenilen aciklik ve yuk durumundaki sistemlerin hesap ve boyutlandirmasini yapan cok sayida bilgisayar yazilimi bulunmaktadir. A beef cattle barn has an important effect on the beef cattle production. The animal shelters which are planned and built suitable to the environmental conditotions increase the yield each animal, in addition to other factors such as feeding, husbandry and breeding, for this reason, the existing animal shelters in different regions of our country have to be studied and the appropriate shelter plans should be prepared. The purpose of this study is to investigate the existing structural conditions and environmental conditions (temperature, relative humidity, ventilation, lighting) to explore the possibilites for the improvement of present structures and to design the suggestible plans for the beef cattle bam in Tokat province. Thus, soil and water resources have to be both qualitatively and quantitatively assessed, and these resources have to be improved in order to solve the present problems. Although irrigated land is increasing very rapidly each year in Tokat province, available water resources are not used properly and irrigation is not applied consciously. In order to provide sound agricultural development, necessary investments on water resources development programs need to be done. In this research, the most suitable growing period for greenhouse warm season species was defined based on long term meteorological data. Considering the climate requirements of warm season species, air conditioning periods such as heating, natural ventilation and cooling periods were determined for nine locations in Tokat. In addition, the climate requirements for Tokat were compared to Antalya in which greenhouse production was done very intensively. Winter growing greenhouse production in Tokat requires very high heating and lighting costs. But in summer months control of greenhouse indoor temperature in Tokat has advantages compared to Antalya. As a result of this study, it is suggested that in addition to early autumn production, late spring and summer production should also be encouraged in Tokat.

As considering the climate and natural resources of Turkey, engineering services in agriculture are one of the important factors limiting optimum agricultural production. It is possible to get more economical benefit from these land and water researches and to use the agricultural products from these researches more efficiently by using of these engineering services covered by agricultural engineering studies. In this study, the rural settlement problems of villages in Tokat province where beef cattle fanning is devoloping, and possible solutions for these problems were investigated. The aims of this study are to determine the situation of houses in plain villages, analysis materials and systems used and their adequacy, and also determine dimension of house problem. Via analysing the problems in the context of local conditions and attitudes or behaviours, new house projects to meet the needs of rural dwellers were proposed. The effective used area of the house were separated to living-bed rooms (47,96 %), kitchen and cellar (32,18 %), hall (17,71 %), bathroom and toilet (2,15%). The result revealed that majority of the residents were large enough in terms of useable area, and the net area satisfies the required size. Most of buildings in rural areas are made out of stone, hollow concrete blocks, adobe(mud bricks), brick and wood. But these materials do not have both sufficiently compressive strengths and thermal conductivity.  The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of waste expanded polystyrene (WEPS) and pumice aggregate on strength and thermal conductivity of gypsum blocks. A lot of new wall materials can be made by mixing those materials in different volume fractions.  The compressive strength, density, water absorption and thermal conductivity of samples produced were determined. It is observed that these EPS and pumice gypsum blocks have sufficient strength for their use in general building construction. The thermal insulation properties are quite good as a result of the thermal conductivity tests. This composite material is suggested for use in building applications as partitions.

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of the supplementation of fermented mealworm larvae meal with two different probiotic bacteria (Lactobacillus plantarum or Lactobacillus brevis) to diets of broilers reared normal or high stocking density on litter quality. Wood shavings, commonly used in broiler houses, are used as litter material. High stocking density significantly increased litter moisture content compared to that of broiler reared normal stocking density (P<0.0001). Dietary supplementing of fermented mealworm larvae meal with Lactobacillus plantarum or Lactobacillus brevis significantly decreased litter moisture content compared to that of control diet (P<0.0001). High stocking density significantly increased litter pH level compared to normal stocking density (P<0.0001). On the other hand, dietary treatments had no significant effect on litter pH.
