It usually works immediately out of the box, but sometimes, if the video is new, it could show an error. In this case, please follow the steps to get the summary from the transcript.

How to summarize a video with Claude

Create an account on the https://claude.ai/ website to get access to AI.

Claude doesn't have direct internet access, so you cannot just pass the link to the video; you need to pass a transcript.

How to Get a Transcript from YouTube Video

1. Open the video on YouTube.

2. Click on the "Show Transcript" button below the video description.

   

3. Copy the entire transcript.

   Visit https://www.perplexity.ai and register there. Perplexity offers the most detailed summaries but doesn't work with newly added videos.
