Colman led Princeton to its first official Ivy League title in 1957, and it came down to the final day. Needing a win, tailback Dan Sachs scored three touchdowns to lead Princeton to a 34-14 win over Dartmouth at Palmer Stadium.

Princeton, the league's highest-scoring team, shared the Ivy League title with Dartmouth, which pulled out a one-point win over the Tigers in the season finale. That would be Princeton’s final loss for a while, as the 1964 team made sure.

The last time Princeton went undefeated was 1964, when eventual Hall of Fame running back Cosmo Iacavazzi paced a dominant Tiger squad to its only perfect Ivy season. Princeton capped the perfect season with a 17-12 win over Cornell in the finale.

Princeton needed to run the table in November, and it began with an 18-14 comeback win over co-champ Harvard. The Tigers scored the final 15 points, then stopped Harvard by inches on fourth down inside the Princeton 20 to end the final Crimson drive.

Princeton knocked off unbeaten Dartmouth by four touchdowns to earn a three-way share of the title. Hank Bjorklund rushed for three TDs in the 35-7 win.

Current head coach Bob Surace capped his playing career with Princeton’s first Ivy League title in two decades. Judd Garrett won the Bushnell Cup after rushing for 1,347 yards and 14 touchdowns. Princeton topped Cornell 21-7 in the finale to clinch a share of the title.

Some titles are decided on the final day, but this was decided on the final play. Freshman Alex Sierk hit a short field goal to tie Dartmouth 10-10 in the finale and give Princeton an outright championship. Captain Dave Patterson won the Bushnell Cup; no defensive player ever won it outright after that.

Princeton rallied from three 14-point deficits to stun Yale 34-31 in New Haven and capture a share of the Ivy League title. Jeff Terrell threw for 445 yards in the game and went on to win the Bushnell Cup. Princeton had late comebacks in wins over Harvard and Penn (2 OT).

Princeton set Ivy League records in both scoring offense and total offense, and went from last place in 2011 to a title two seasons later. Quinn Epperly, who set an NCAA record with 29 straight completions vs. Cornell, won the Bushnell Cup as Offensive Player of the Year.

Princeton led the Ivy League in scoring/total/rushing offense, as well as scoring/total/rushing defense. John Lovett won the Bushnell Cup as the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year, while Kurt Holuba was a finalist for the Defensive honor. Princeton defeated co-champion Penn 28-0 on Powers Field.

Princeton set the Ivy League record for most points per game in a season with 47.0 while putting together its first perfect season in 54 years. John Lovett won the Bushnell Cup as the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year for the second time, edging his teammate Jesper Horsted, the other finalist. Princeton had 18 All-Ivy League players.

Princeton finished 2021 campaign at 9-1, earning the program's 13th Ivy League title and fourth in eight years. Princeton University also hosted the bonfire, a storied celebration after the football team beats Harvard and Yale in the same season. Jeremiah Tyler was a two-time All-American and won the Bushnell Cup for Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year. The Tigers had 16 All-Ivy selections and led the conference with 10 firs-team honorees.
