Fordham Game Notes Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham University football Rams continue their 2015 home season as they host the Columbia University Lions on Jack Coffey Field on Saturday, September 19, at 1:00 p.m. in the annual Liberty Cup game, presented by the Fordham Army ROTC. As part of annual contest, the Rams also unveiled their 2015 Liberty Cup uniforms on Thursday.
The game will be streamed live on the Patriot League Network and can also be heard live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and on WFUVsports.org with Matt Moro (p-b-p), Joe Marie (color) and Corey Miller (sidelines) handling the announcing chores.
#18/19 Fordham enters the game with a 1-1 record after falling to #2 Villanova, 14-7, on Jack Coffey Field last Saturday. It is the season opener for Columbia.
A few notes on the game:
The game will features numerous tributes to the men and women who responded to the 9/11 attacks, including the NY
PD, FDNY and PAPD.
The Rams saw their 14-game home winning streak snapped last week but over the past three years Fordham is 17-2 when playing on Jack Coffey Field.
Villanova is the highest rated opponent that the Rams have hosted on Jack Coffey Field. The previous high was eighth which was also Villanova in 2013.

Garrick Mayweather, Jr. The scout team players of the week were announced following practice on Wednesday:
Erik Rottsolk (offense for defense),
Joe Lisowski (defense for the offense) and
Tyler Long (special teams).
This will be the 24th meeting between Fordham and Columbia on the gridiron with the Lions leading the all-time series, which started in 1890, 12-11. Fordham has taken the past five meetings, including a 49-7 win at Columbia last year as
Mike Nebrich completed 32 of 48 passes for 435 yards and four touchdowns and
Chase Edmonds rushed for 174 yards and two scores, and leads the all-time Liberty Cup series, 9-4.
The guest coach for the game will be Bob Ahrens, Executive Sports Produce for WFUV.
The Fordham University Rams are one of three NCAA FCS teams to have two wins over an FBS opponent since 2013, joining North Dakota State and Bethune-Cookman.
No New York area football team has won more games since 2012 than Fordham, who has amassed 30 victories over that stretch. The closest competitor is Rutgers, who has 24 wins over the past three-plus years while the NFL's Giants (who play more games in a season than the Rams) have 22 and the Jets 19.
