The three weeks break on the Digicel Fiji Premier League competition has prompted Nasinu Football Association executives to take disciplinary action on their players after failing to register a win in the competition.

Nasinu FA president Jagindar Singh has confirmed to Fiji FA Media that they suspended five players.

They are Amani Makoe, Jonatani Buksh, Apenisa Anare, Leisari Qalica, and Taniela Rakariva.

“These players are prohibited from participating in all levels of Fiji Football activities,” he said.

Singh said the players were suspended because they failed to attend their DPL match against Rewa without providing any prior notification to Nasinu FA regarding their absence.

He emphasised that Nasinu FA is conducting a thorough investigation into the matter and appropriate actions will be taken based on their findings.

The suspension serves as a disciplinary measure, reflecting the seriousness with which Nasinu FA regards player commitment and adherence to team responsibilities.

Once the investigation concludes its investigation, further decisions will be made in accordance with the Nasinu FA policies and guidelines.
