Get inspired with an evening of Finnish classical music

Happening on July 28, the Symphony Orchestra Concert, led by Craig Randal Johnson, will be historic. What makes the Symphony Orchestra Concert historic? It's the first performance in the United States of the late Jaakko Kuusisto's recently composed Piano Concerto.

This masterwork will be played by Mackenzie Melemed, a Helsinki-based American pianist and winner of the 2022 Avery Fisher Career Grant Award, one of the most prestigious grants in the musical world.

The concert then moves to dramatic selections from Leevi Madetoja's opera 'The Ostrobothnians', the first Finnish-composed opera to command international attention and performances. The concert opens and closes with music by Finland's national composer Jean Sibelius.

Join the symphony and FinnFest Chorus for a night of inspiring Finnish classical music!

Dance with pop star Samuli Edelmann

Samuli Edelmann is one of Finland's best-selling male artists, and we’re ecstatic to have him join us at FinnFest 2023!

After an inspiring Symphony Orchestra Concert celebrating Finnish culture, get your dancing shoes on for a concert with the Finnish pop star on July 29.

Making his American debut at FinnFest 2023, Samuli Edelmann’s wide-ranging repertoire, from art records to pop music, will invariably find its way into the hearts of visitors at FinnFest 2023.
