Representative Teresa Leger Fernández introduced two bills to approve the water rights claims of the Pueblos of Acoma, Jemez, Laguna, and Zia, as well as participating non-Tribal parties.
The Congresswoman led the bipartisan House effort to pass the two-year extension through Congress with bipartisan support last month. The program was scheduled to sunset in July 2022.
