Goldie Hawn recalls her home being broken into not once but twice: 'I'm never without a guard'

Hawn was alone during the second break-in as partner Kurt Russell wasn't home at the time.

Goldie Hawn was the victim of not one but two break-ins at the Los Angeles home she shares with longtime partner Kurt Russell. The First Wives Club star talked about the terrifying incidents in a recent chat with Kelly Ripa on her Sirius XM show Let's Talk off Camera.

As a result of the break-ins, Hawn said she's "never without a guard" now.

The first invasion occurred in 2020, when Hawn and Russell had gone out to dinner.

"We were gone maybe two hours and 20 minutes or something," Hawn told Ripa. After they came home, they watched a movie together, then Hawn retired to bed. But when she did, she was shocked to find that her closet had been ransacked.

"I went up the stairs and whatever, and I walked into my closet and I just lost it," the Oscar-winner recalled. "They had broken in from the balcony to our bedroom, our closets, and they completely knocked down my door, which is a safe door, so they're very, very sophisticated. And they got, you know, a lot of my goodies, if you know what I mean."

Hawn figured that odds were slim of that happening again, but either four months later, or four months ago (it's not entirely clear), someone attempted to break into her home a second time.

"It's gonna be about four months now. I'm in the house by myself with the dog and I hear this big thump upstairs," Hawn continued. "I was alone. Kurt wasn't there and I went, 'What the hell was that?' It was just like, was that a sonic boom? Did somebody jump somewhere? I mean, and as it turned out, the next day we discovered that they were trying to get in my bedroom while I was in the house."

Ripa then asked the 78-year-old national treasure if she has guards now. Hawn said she does, especially when she's alone.

"I'm never without a guard," she added.
