Welcome to Miami, College GameDay Live from The U!

  • First-Ever GameDay from The University of Miami Campus; Seventh Show from a Hurricanes Home Game
  • Miami’s Own Alex Rodriguez to Join as Guest Picker

ESPN’s College GameDay Built by The Home Depot – college football’s longest-running and most-celebrated pregame show – will originate from the University of Miami campus for the first-time ever on Saturday, Nov. 11 ahead of a College Football Playoff impact game between No. 3 Notre Dame at No. 7 Miami on ABC’s Saturday Night Football (8 p.m.). Overall, this is the seventh time College GameDay has broadcasted in Miami with the previous six taking place from the Orange Bowl.

The three-hour premier show will originate from the Lakeside Patio on Miami’s campus from 9 a.m. to noon ET with live SportsCenter hits from the set in the 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. hours leading up to College GameDay. Former 14-time MLB All-Star and Miami native Alex Rodriguez will join the show as this week’s guest picker, as he announced this morning. Rodriguez was recruited to play at The U for both baseball and football, but ultimately decided to begin his baseball career and was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in 1993. Miami’s baseball field, the Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field, is named after him.

ESPN programming began from the GameDay set on Friday, Nov.10, with SportsCenter hits throughout the day and an afternoon taping of College Football Live.

The seven-time Emmy Award-winning show is hosted by Rece Davis, who is joined by analysts Lee CorsoKirk HerbstreitDesmond Howard and David Pollack, as well as contributors Chris ‘The Bear’ FallicaTom RinaldiMaria Taylor and Gene Wojciechowski.

It was always a dream of mine to work at ESPN, and here I am! I joined the College Sports PR team in March 2016. Hailing from the great Garden State, I graduated from Seton Hall University (Go Pirates!) with a degree in sport management, where I not only sang the National Anthem at games, but was also a member of the Seton Hall Sapphires Dance Team and a student reporter for Pirate Sports Network. Before joining ESPN, I served as a Public Relations Associate for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
