SportsCenter reporter Jeannine Edwards will be on site in Columbus beginning Friday. College Football Live will air Friday, Sept. 8, from the set with Taylor, Howard and Pollack.

Corso Facts
Corso began making his entertaining end-of-show headgear pick nearly 22 years ago, donning the headgear of the team who he thinks will win the game that GameDay is present at. Week 2 will be headgear number 297 for Corso, as he is 195-101 all-time in headgear picks. The phenomenon began on October 5, 1996, prior to the Ohio State-Penn State game in Columbus, Ohio when he put on OSU’s “Brutus Buckeye” mascot head to show his pick to win the game – watch here.

  • Corso is looking to start 3-0 in headgear picks for the first time since 2014
    • Has lost three of his last five Week 2 picks
  • Corso has picked Ohio State 24 times, representing the 2nd highest total of any headgear (Alabama leads with 27)
  • Corso has picked against Oklahoma 15 times, the most he has picked against any school
    • The Sooners are 11-4 when Corso picks against them

‘The Bear’ College GameDay Fun Facts

  • This is the 16th time GameDay has visited Ohio State, marking the most trips of any campus
  • GameDay has been to four meetings between a Big Ten and a Big 12 school. The Big Ten has won three of the four meetings. However, the one Big 12 win came when Texas went to Ohio State in 2005 and defeated the Buckeyes 25-22
  • Ohio State’s record with GameDay in Columbus is 11-4 (lost to Michigan State in 2015, USC in 2009, Penn State in 2008, Texas in 2005)
  • Oklahoma has been a road underdog the last two times GameDay was present – at Baylor in 2015 and at Oklahoma State in 2010 – the Sooners pulled the upset both times.

It was always a dream of mine to work at ESPN, and here I am! I joined the College Sports PR team in March 2016. Hailing from the great Garden State, I graduated from Seton Hall University (Go Pirates!) with a degree in sport management, where I not only sang the National Anthem at games, but was also a member of the Seton Hall Sapphires Dance Team and a student reporter for Pirate Sports Network. Before joining ESPN, I served as a Public Relations Associate for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
