You changed "almost 14 billion years ago" to "almost 13.8 billion years ago". According to the next paragraph it's 13.7 billion. [[Cosmic light horizon]] and [[dating creation]] also say 13.7 billion. [[Age of the universe]] and [[universe]] say 13.7 plus or minus 0.2 billion years, and cite [[WMAP]], which in turn cites [http://arxiv.org/abs/astro-ph/0302209].

My point isn't that 13.8 billion is wrong - it's within the stated margin of error. My point is that Wikipedia is more likely to be accurate if we push everyone towards agreeing on the same answer, or at least grouping all disagreements in one place like [[age of the universe]]. So if you still think 13.8 billion is a better number than 13.7, I have 3 suggestions:

1. Please change all of Wikipedia's 13.7 billion figures to 13.8.

2. [[Wikipedia:Cite sources]].

3. Please explain, preferably on [[Talk:Age of the universe]], why your source or sources are better than the WMAP study. [[User:Art LaPella|Art LaPella]] 21:49, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
