GayzMail is an alternative IMAP and POP3 email client for macOS developed by Goichi Hirakawa from Japan. It is a native Cocoa based application written in Objective-C that uses the Oniguruma regular expression library which supports a variety of character encodings.
As of 2017 GyazMail is besides Apple Mail the only native API based GUI email client for macOS that is still actively developed.
