OptoMyoGraphy ( OMG ) (in Swedish: Optomyografi OMG)
OptoMyoGraphy is a recently proposed technique, developed and coined by Hamed Hamid Muhammed at School of Technology and Health, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. OMG can be used to monitor muscular activity and can be used for the same applications where Electromyography ( EMG ) and MechanoMyoGraphy ( MMG ) are used. However, OMG offers superior SNR and improved robustness against the disturbing factors and limitations of EMG and MMG.
Key words
OptoMyoGraphy, OMG, (in Swedish: Optomyografi OMG), within the research field of Medical Engineering, (in Swedish: Medicinteknik) to monitor muscular activity.
