I believe Wikipedia rushed to delete the article without conducting thorough research to confirm that it was truly a rivalry. I have provided multiple links with explicit references to said rivalry. Before anyone comments on the construction of this page, yes, I know it isn't fully constructed. I encourage anyone who can fix it to do so, as I tried but couldn't identify the issue. The numbers are correct, though. Regardless, this article should exist on Wikipedia and shouldn't been deleted

Background

The rivalry between the Mavericks and the Rockets has developed over years of competition in the NBA's Western Conference. With both teams located in the state of Texas, the rivalry is fueled by regional pride and a desire for supremacy within the state.
