Spring 2022 Financial Clearance Process
The Office of the Bursar is in the process of migrating from the TMS payment plan to the Nelnet payment plan. As a result of the migration taking longer than planned, the University is adopting a temporary financial clearance process for Spring 2022. This process will only apply for the current spring 2022 semester, and the details are as follows:

  1. All students with an account balance of $6,000 or less will be temporarily financially cleared by the Office of the Bursar. If your balance is above $6,000, you will need to pay your balance down to $6,000 or less via Tigerweb, bank wire, or by making payments at the Office of the Bursar. The Office of the Bursar will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on January 3, 2022.
  2. Payment Plan: Students with a balance ranging between $1,000 and $6,000 are required to pay their balance in full or enroll in the payment plan before February 1, 2022. A payment plan enrollment fee of $65 is still required and must be paid upfront. Additionally, you may break the balance up into a maximum of four equal monthly payments (February 1, 2022, through May 1, 2022), with the initial payment being made on February 1, 2022. If you do not enroll in the payment plan nor make the initial payment by February 1, 2022, a late installment enrollment fee of $100 will apply, and a financial hold will be placed on your account. A financial hold will prevent you from dropping courses, reviewing grades, and receiving a transcript. Additionally, meal plan services may be interrupted.
  3. De-registration: Students who do not meet financial clearance by January 12th are subject to having schedules deleted at the close of business. Only deleted schedules will be reinstated during the reinstatement period, which is January 13th – 20th for Spring 2022. For deleted schedules to be reinstated, you must become financially cleared. No new schedules will be added during this reinstatement period.
  4. Please check Tigerweb, “My Registration Status” to ensure you have been financially cleared for Spring of 2022. You should see “Registered for Spring” as your status.  You must be financially cleared to check into campus housing/dorms and attend classes via Blackboard.
  5. If you do not plan to attend Tuskegee University for Spring 2022 and have a class schedule, please contact the Office of the Registrar to delete your schedule.
  6. Please feel free to contact the Office of the Bursar (Kresge) at (334) 727-8538 with questions. The Office of the Bursar will reopen on January 3, 2022, at 8:30 a.m.
  7. We wish you a great Golden Tiger Experience!!
