Notes:Much of this collection was gathered by Dr Barron's while researching his doctoral thesis 'Analysis, imagination and action: How did civil society influence public policy in relation to LGBTI+ young people, 1993-2015'. This thesis focused on policy and media analysis, and contains interviews with key informants including government ministers, civil servants, and activists.

Michael Barron has been a social justice advocate since the 1990s as a youth and community worker and as executive director of BeLonG To, EQUATE and The Rowan Trust. He writes on social movements and social change in the areas of sexual orientation and gender identity and anti-discrimination and protection of national minorities.
