Chiefly music scores by various arrangers that were played by his bands. Some scores of school songs are also present. Also numerous pieces of sheet music by composers such as George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Jerome Kern. Manuscripts include screen stories and personal notebooks. In addition to photographs of family members, friends, and musicians, there are some identified ones of Japanese works of art. Other files contain correspondence, miscellaneous financial records, and printed items. Among these are publicity articles and programs from theater and concert events, many from Carnegie Hall
