A restaurant could relocate this summer.

The Chilli Pickle, a popular Indian eatery in Jubilee Street, Brighton, is set to leave the current venue this summer.

The company, which was founded in 2008, has recently applied for a new premises licence for a unit in Meeting House Lane, Brighton.

Co-founder Dawn Sperring said the plans have not yet been finalised. 

The new premises licence submitted to Brighton and Hove City Council seeks permission for the restaurant to be open every day from 10am until 12.30am.

The business also wants permission to serve alcohol daily from 10am until midnight.

On Tripadvisor, the restaurant currently has an average four-star out of five rating.

A recent reviewer said: "Never disappointed.

"The food is always way beyond the usual Indian fare. Terrific, friendly staff. Just a fab place to be."

Another recent customer wrote: "The food is amazing, so many fabulous flavours, spicy but not too hot.

"I can recommend everything we had. The onion bhajis are unbelievable, the chops tender, the balti spicy but not hot, we honestly could not fault the food.

"The staff are fun and friendly as well as attentive and knowledgeable. Definitely in our top three of Indian restaurants."
