This is Ruto's first stop after his arrival at the Hartsfield Jackson International Airport Monday morning.
The President who is on a three-day state visit of the US arrived in Atlanta, Georgia at around 10am US time.
Ruto who is accompanied by First Lady Rachel Ruto then left for the Carter Center and arrived at around 2pm US time as his motorcade followed him closely.
The President was warmly received at the centre accompanied by his Kenyan entourage and US government officials.
He took pictures at the lawn before he was ushered into the Carter Presidential Center.
Ruto was then received by one of Jimmy Carter's grandson's before they had a small chit chat.
Built in the ‘80s, the Carter Center and adjoining Jimmy Carter Presidential Library & Museum sit on a 35-acre park east of Downtown Atlanta.
The center is surrounded by greenery and water and a nondenominational chapel close by.
The Carter Center, which is located at 453 John Lewis Freedom Parkway, has permanent exhibits that highlight Former president Jimmy Carter who served as the 39th President of the United States from 1977 to 1981.
