(Columbia-AP) Sept. 7, 2004 - South Carolina's football program will get some extra national exposure this weekend.

ESPN is bringing its College GameDay show to Columbia for Saturday's game between the Gamecocks and Number Three Georgia. The GameDay crew and set will be at the State Fairgrounds across from Williams-Brice Stadium.

Coach Lou Holtz is using the visit to provide motivation. He says ESPN wouldn't be here if the station didn't think it could be a close game. The sold out Georgia game is set to air on ESPN at 5:30pm on Saturday.

GameDay has only been to Columbia one other time. The Gamecocks lost to Florida 54-17 in 2001.

South Carolina opened the season last weekend with a 31-6 win at Vanderbilt.
