One person has been taken to hospital following a collision between a school bus and a car in Maesteg. Emergency services attended the scene of the crash, which happened shortly after 3pm outside Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Llangynwyd.
South Wales Police closed the road for more than two hours and urged motorists to avoid the area, with the A4063 blocked in both directions until shortly before 6pm. The incident caused long queues stretching from Pont Rhyd-y-Cyff to the Tondu.
A spokesperson the force said: "A collision took place between a bus and a vehicle outside Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Llangynwyd at 3.10pm on 20 June. The driver of the car has been taken to hospital as a precaution. None of the occupants of the school bus suffered any injuries. The road has been closed for vehicles to be recovered.
