My name is Rebecca Thurlow, I am a registered Psychologist with an interest in working with adolescents and adults. I have experience working in the public sector. I support people with a wide range of mental health difficulties including anxiety, low mood, emotional dysregulation, personality disorders, OCD, eating disorders, and trauma. I am trained in a range of evidence-based therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness. I use an integrative approach which helps to tailor therapy to each individual client.
I believe psychology can help individuals to live more rich and meaningful lives. I help to create a safe space where clients can feel heard and understood without judgement. By reflecting together on difficulties in life, clients can begin to understand themselves and identify changes that need to be made in their lives.
The therapeutic relationship is an important catalyst for change that allows clients to explore in therapy and feel supported in that process. I look forward to hearing from you.
