Please know I am NOT an expert, and this doesn't replace the role of an amazing plasterer (we have someone we use for bigger jobs), but for smaller wall repairs where the likelihood of getting a tradesman in to do it is not only low but also a costly expense for a small job, I am VERY happy to recommend the Pro-roll DIY plaster product from @wickes. We used it during our DIY kitchen makeover and it worked perfectly 👌 We used the Knauf Pro-roll Lite. It was about £33 and we also bought a long smoothing tool to use with it which was £20. One tub covered this whole wall 2.5 coats and we had enough left over to do the living room wall after wallpaper removal took off
