Acrylic Dry Brush on Clay
Try out this acrylic metallic dry brush on clay to elevate your sculptures! I love using this cold finish in my highschool classroom because it works 100% of the time, even if my students don’t have painting experience. Glazing is great, but is expensive and the results vary vastly. This video is a dry brush painting techniques tutorial that is perfect for the home studio or classroom setting.
Clay Mermaid Tutorial
This is a clay tutorial for beginners focusing on how to make a clay mermaid. You will basically be sculpting the figure in clay but instead of legs you will add a tail. I will also show you how to make a pinch pot base. You can add facial features and textures, but my mermaid will be minimalistic. This can also be done with air dry clay at home or in a smaller studio setting. No kiln, no problem!
Wire Art | Wire Word Decoration
This easy wire tutorial will show you how to create wire letters. You can use this for ornaments, gifts, seasonal decorations and name plates for events. I’ve even made trophies and awards using this technique! You will need any gauge wire in any color you would like and I prefer to use a print out of the words I am creating.
Clay Ornaments | Air Dry Clay DIY
Such a simple and quick way to DIY gifts and decorations. I used air dry clay, but kiln fired clay works great too.
