A teenager has been taken to hospital after two ambulances were dispatched to a North Staffordshire park. Residents had spotted an emergency services presence at Stone's Westbridge Park on Saturday afternoon.

Today West Midlands Ambulance Service has confirmed it was called to the scene at around 4.30pm - with two teenagers being checked over. One of the patients was taken to hospital.

An ambulance service spokesman said: "We were called to reports of two patients near Walton Bridge, on Stafford Road. Two ambulances attended the scene. On arrival we discovered two teenage females. One of whom received treatment before being taken to hospital. The second patient was assessed and discharged at the scene."
