Alumni and Professor Sir Peter Mansfield was recognised with a 2003 Nobel Prize in Physiology for the invention of Magnetic Resonance Imaging body scanners. Alumni and Professor Sir Clive was recognised with a 2003 Nobel Prize in Economic science for a profound influence in the field of time series analysis.


 



Shanghai Ranking logo

The University of Nottingham Ningbo China participated in Shanghai Ranking’s Best Chinese Universities Ranking for the first time in 2019, listed 55th in China and the second in Zhejiang province.

Six subjects are listed in the 2023 Shanghai Ranking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS), including Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Business Administration, Management, and Hospitality and Tourism Management.
