All my CHILDREN are POLITICIANS- Konadu RAWLINGS makes shocking disclosure
Former First Lady, Nana Kondu Agyeman-Rawlings has revealed that all her four children are politicians because they were born in the house of politicians.
Mr and Mrs Rawlings who have been married 1977 have Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, Kimathi Rawlings, Amina Rawlings, Yaa Asantewaa Rawlings and Zanetor Rawlings.
Aside Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, their first daughter who has joined mainstream politics by becoming the Member of Parliament (MP) for Klottey- Korle constituency in the Greater Accra Region, little is known if the rest have interest in politics.
But during his appearance at Metro TV Good evening Ghana the founder of the 31st December Women Movement indicated that the other three are also politicians just that they have not made it public yet but was hopeful they will soon join their elder sister.
“Everybody has a bit of politics in there. Everybody including Kimathi because we are a political household”, she disclosed.
Asked if former President John Mahama decides to settle on one of her children especially Dr Zanetor Rawlings as his running mate ahead of the 2020 elections and what her reaction would be, she simply laughed and said “you are coming to pull my legs here”
There are rumors that should former President John Dramani Mahama win as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate for the 2020 elections, the is the need for him to choose a running mate from the Ashanti or Volta Region to consolidate his electoral gains.
The name of Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings has come up as one of the potential contenders for this slot but at the 9th National Delegates Congress of the party a fortnight ago, she was confronted on the issue and whether she would be prepared for a challenge in whatever capacity in the interest of the party.
“Let me tell you this: as a member of the party, I’m willing to support the party to victory in whatever capacity that maybe”, she said.
