Karie brings extensive television experience as a Sports Anchor and Reporter with NBC, CBS, and ABC affiliates, as well as cable. She was the first female reporter on ESPN’s College Football Game Day and hosted her own college football highlight show on the Sports News Network. Her SNN duties also included an NHL Pre-Game Show and live pre-game shows at the NBA Finals. For two seasons, she hosted the Miami Dolphins Monday Night Magazine.

As a representative for the U.S. Cotton industry, Karie has traveled to key cities in ten countries, working closely with the U.S. embassies and consulates promoting U.S. Cotton. She has participated in press conferences around the world promoting U.S. Cotton. During her tour, she met with key government officials in Washington, D.C, including President Ronald Reagan in the Oval Office.

Karie was selected as a Distinguished Alumni for the University of Oklahoma Gaylord College of Journalism in 2004 and now serves on their Board of Visitors. As a founder of Pennies for Paws (Detroit, MI), a campaign to save endangered tigers in the wild, she met with Congress on the Save the Vanishing Species Stamp, which is now sold through the U.S. Postal Service. Karie was a member of the Board of Directors for Jack’s Place for Autism (Detroit, MI) and was chair of the annual fundraiser “Dancing with the All-Stars,” raising more than $2 million. She was also a mentor for Women of Tomorrow (Detroit, MI), where she helped at risk women in high school. As a member of the National Recruitment Team for Chi Omega, Karie traveled to universities around the nation teaching conversation and recruitment skills. She currently serves as Recruitment Advisor for Babson College, Chi Omega Chapter (Boston, MA). As Co-Chair of the Capital Campaign for Chi Omega University of Oklahoma, Karie helped to raise more than $1.3 million. Karie has been the keynote speaker for organizations looking to empower women.
