Tiger Public Speaking Contest | LSU Student Union, Atchafalaya 339

The Communication Studies Graduate Student Association at LSU will be hosting a public speaking contest for students in CMST 2060 to show off their hard work throughout the semester. Professors will nominate students and the winners get a cash prize. There will be multiple awards. The event runs from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Learn more here.

Purple Brick Road to Wondaland |HopKins Black Box Theatre

HopKins Black Box Theatre will be hosting a performance of Black Feminist Futurity to celebrate community and sisterhood. The show will run from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Register for the event here

Britney Spears Trivia Series | Tap65

Queens of Louisiana is hosting another pop diva themed trivia series at Tap65, now featuring all the best of Britney. From 7 to 9 p.m. queens will be performing and quizzing participants on all things Britney, so brush up on your knowledge and go enjoy Indian food with Britney-inspired cocktails.

Afternoon in the Archives | Hill Memorial Library McIlhenny Room 

LSU Libraries will be hosting Afternoon in the Archives with a collection of poetry by famous African American writers. This event runs from 1 to 3 p.m. Register here.

Fierce Planets Opening and Panel Discussion | Shaw Center for the Arts

The LSU Museum of Art is hosting an opening panel discussion about the exhibitions of the work “Fierce Planets: Work from the Studio Art Quilt Associates and Interior Space: Photographs by Roland Miller & Paolo Nespoli.” A reception will follow. 23rd Animation Show of Shows | Digital Media Center Theatre 

The Center for Computation and Technology will be hosting an animation show comprised of 11 films. Students are welcome to come and see the creativity of animation. This event will run from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.. This event is free. Learn more here.

La Casa de Bernarda Alba| Music & Dramatic Arts Building, Shaver Theatre 

The Turner-Fischer Center for Opera is presenting “La Casa de Bernarda Alba”, a story about a mother mourning the death of her husband with her 5 daughters. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $32 for general admission, $22 for and LSU employee and $12 for LSU students or K-12th graders. Purchase here.

Delts n’ Dogs | Delta Tau Delta House 

Delta Tau Delta will be hosting a fundraiser for students to buy a ticket and get a free hotdog and drink. There will be music, yard games and even a hot dog eating contest. This event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets are $5. Learn more here.

Dating Dialogues | LSU Student Union, Magnolia Room 

The National Pan-Hellenic Council will be hosting a jeopardy-style event to help inform students on what healthy relationships and consent looks like. This event will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and is free. Learn more here.

25th annual Miles for Medicine | Patrick F. Taylor Hall

The Alpha Epsilon Delta chapter will be hosting a 3-mile race run through LSU’s campus, starting at Patrick F. Taylor Hall. Proceeds will be donated to their philanthropy, Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Louisiana. This event runs from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Food will be provided. Learn more here.
