Sam Aston has been flooded with supportive messages as he revealed his wife has given birth.
The soap star is renowned for his role as Chesney Brown in Coronation Street. Away from the screen, he is happily married to Briony Gardner.
The 30-year-old has taken to Instagram today to reveal Briony has given birth to their third child. He said: "Welcome to the world...Hazel Marie Aston. 07.05.24. 8lbs 15oz."

Fans took to the comments to congratulate the couple on the happy family news. Victoria said: "Congratulations to you all xx she is absolutely gorgeous cx"
Sharon added: "Sending you all a massive congratulations." Stevie posted: "Just amazing!!! Congratulations to you all. Pure love and happiness."
Wendy posted: "Congratulations."
Briony last year revealed she had suffered two miscarriages since the birth of their second child. She said on Instagram: "This is a difficult thing to share, but in the interest of breaking the taboo, I'm miscarrying again, the second time in four months.
"It's heartbreaking and it's unfair, BUT I'm not seeking sympathy, I feel well supported and want others to feel supported too." Sam and Briony appeared on Loose Women in August as they wanted to share their story as a way to help others. Briony said: "It helped me tremendously, knowing I wasn’t alone."
Sam stepped in to offer support when Briony broke down in tears as she discussed the loss. He said: "In a way, I can’t really understand, it’s not my body." He added: "I do feel proud she was able to put it out there because it opened up a conversation."
