August 6, 2024 Primary Election

The partisan primary election determines which candidates are nominated to compete in the general election for the two major political parties recognized in the State of Kansas: the Democratic party and the Republican party.

Minor parties that have obtained official recognition (e.g. Libertarian party) nominate candidates at state conventions.

One non-partisan County Commission contest race will be held.

The contest races that will appear on a voter's ballot depends on a voter's party affiliation and where a voter is registered to vote.
