Succession (2018)
A 6 only for a couple of scenes
Honestly I'm feeling happy at the end of this tv-serie must because I was waiting impatiently to finish It.
The first impressions were good as in the very first episode we can immediately understand that Logan Roy would not give his Empire to anyone of his sons.
Then my impressions have bene shocked by this dysfunctional family, with characters near to a high schizophrenic disturb, changing ideas in few minutes, doing always something opposite to what they Say, acting with the password "betray" in their silly minds, saying lies to everyone, everytime, in every moments. The worst scenes are from Shiv and Tom marriage, and the ridicolous (OMG)Kendall... Brian Cox is the only able to give emotions in this show, seriously.
Succession: With Open Eyes (2023)
Disgusting
As the final came I realized how silly these characters are. The plot of this final episodi is unbelievable. The ridicolous dramma during the vote will be on my mind for ever as the sequence I've Always dreamed not to Watch. Tom and Shiv keeping their hands tight is really out of logic and Kendall's sad face in the last scene could mean they are thinking about a fifth Season (I'm really hoping not, praying for no).
I'm feeling right as at the end of GOT's final Season: thinking about a useless waste of time for all the hours spent watching at this series.
Anyway I have to admit that there are many funny scenes 😅
Catch-22 (2019)
Unforgettable
It's weird, but serious too. It's very funny, It can male you laugh madly and smile. It's dramatic too, and because of the many problems and frustrating things the war can give It is tragic too... Great cast and tremendous direction, you can really feel the real rough life of civilians and military during the war, where nobody is safe and everything can go wrong. I really appreciate all the episodes and I think a second serie couldn't be a good idea. Everything is done and everyone is in their right spot. I hope other plots like this ne, with smiles and cries that are part of real life as we all know.
Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
6,5 nice
Well well, sure I wasn't waiting for another blockbuster as the previous episodes (2, as the expert knows lol) but at the end of this movie a nice final act full of Hope.
Grace is coming from the 2042 ,where there is not Skynet against the human people ,but a A. I. named Legion.
From Mexico to Texas to an unknown dam, Sarah, Grace, the Terminator that killed John Connor and the hope for the human resistance, Dani, they run away from the Reg9 Terminator on then.
Not the nicest film of the saga, but it can be watched to get a final for the episodes of 1984 and 1991.
Nice shots, nice runaways and the usual sense of humor that a machine got :D.
Lakewood (2021)
The tense goes right
Honestly I'm a bit surprised to read so many low votes.
I understand the critics, but please take focus on two suggestions I got for you 'haters of Cinema'
First of all Naomi Watts great performance, as usual, being a mother with only an iPhone to contact the people of the city she's living in. While she's doing jogging: imagine you in those moments, while a person you love is in a serious danger.
Then I have to mention the soundtrack, that fits perfectly and the location outside Lakewood, where the movie is shoot, and the beautiful colors it has.
There are so many different aspects to analize, and the tense goes straight to the final hug with mum and son.
Well, I agree with who says the plot should be improved with more action and people.
Revenge (2017)
6,5 to Miss Fargeat
So much blood, but not too much, I guess Mr Tarantino could be happy to watch this movie.
Nice plot, nice landscape, very nice places to shot a film like this.
I could give it a 7, but I can't understand how is it possibile to survive after falling down for many meters, staying alive with a big bough in your back, eating only mexican mushrooms and living for 2 days in the desert? Anyway, final moment is a bit obvious, but Matilda Lutz is too sexy...
Watch it before criticize it, the thrilling is good and the Revenge justified. Remember that karma is a bad animal, so think it twice before an adultery.
Archive (2020)
An emotional AI film
Maybe who gave 6 should Watch it again, but It's a personal opinion.
The movie is ok with high and low moments, and as the end comes closer the suspence grows continuosly.
The passages are from J1 an AI with a 5 years brain inside, then J2 a robot with an adolescenti (15 years) and then J3 the final one, which will be able to contain George's wife archive (memory, brain, emotions)
The tender relationship between George and his wife can justify his actions, but the Corporations interested in his job are more determined.
Is George prevaling in the final act or the Business Companies? Or maybe a good turn of events is going to shock us?
Great performance by Theo James and Stacy Martin.
Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
I liked It, right end
Well well well, I thought my review on this episode should be aggressive and heavy, BUT.... Honestly , thinking about all the episodes of the 8th serie, I think this is the right, emotional and correct final .
Daenerys should die, and I'm happy that Jon gave her a sweet hit at her Heart: she revealed her distorted way of thinking about a good Reign, and, then, Drogon burned down the Throne of Spades!
Bran is the right choice for an equal and peaceful King and Sansa the magnificent North's Protector, free from the Crown's Power, as an indipendent State.
Finally, Jon back to the Black Castle, his natural habitat, with Tormund and, obviously, his metawolf Ghost (I love It!!!)
Tyron nominated First Knight again, and Friends all around the Counciliar Tablet.
Grey Worm going to Missandei's Land..
The end, nice, correct and a bit emotional.
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
Craziness by the screenwriters
I'm totally shocked and disappointed by this episode written with hurry and nonsense.
Spectacular the attack to Kings Landing, great effect Drogon and its fires. Happy for the right destiny for Cercei and Jamie, Varis, the Mountain and his brother Sandor and the evil Euron too: all dead!!
But let me say that it is a real shame what happens to Danaerys: the bells should stop the struggle...
No, she decides to raze everything and everyone....?!?!?!?!?
The screenwriters had no more ideas and they really think we all are like zombies that can endure all?
Please don't do it again. Seriously, this saga started so good... And the end... Bleah.
Game of Thrones: The Last of the Starks (2019)
Useless episode
How can a Dragon not see some big boats of the enemies while It's flying in the sky so high? This ridiculous killing by huge crossbows is repeated immediately later in a silly battle in the sea, with many boats of Danaerys army destroyed by those crossbows.
The episode is all a waste of time. Many words, too many, and low, ridiculous action.
Fortunately the last metawolf is still alive, but Jon decides to let It go with the free people of the North.
Bronn... How did he get to the North so easily?
Varis is thinking for another betraial, oh really??
Jon's secret is not a secret anymore as 8/10 people already knows it.
In the last scene our hero Tyron is choosing again, with another mistake, to trust in his sister's Mercy.... Stop him!!!!!
Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
An infinite... No, thx
I've waited so long to watch this episode, and finally, after the end of it, I can really say that I'm frustrated and sick.
1 hour and 20 minutes with an infinite unreasonable pathos, full of useless moments while nothing happens. A frustrating wait to see the end that is one of the two only good thrilling moments.
It started with a fantastic lost of the cavarly, then the boring following looked like won't ever end... Until Arya hit the biggest enemy .
Good Joe Bell (2020)
Try to forgive the haters
Well, the story is a real one, made by real people and real feelings. A trip decided by Mr. Bell to share the correct message and punish himself for not being able to stand by his son.
A tender soundtrack will guide you across this trip and the stories of the people involved in it.
Unfortunately some good feelings and ideas grow after an ugly tragedy like a suicide of a teenager gay.
I can't understand why the haters are giving low votes for this movie, but I think we can try to forgive them with films like this that can teach a great lesson.
Game of Thrones: Battle of the Bastards (2016)
Holy c**p what a battle!
One of the best battles ever seen with Jon Snow facing the evil Ramsey Bolton.
Well, brutal violence, many deaths, bravery faces cowardice, tactics and furious fights...
In the end a happy ending!
Game of Thrones: The Winds of Winter (2016)
The best... At the moment.
Amazing is only a word but it fits 100% with this episode.
While Cersei's waiting for her process the Baelor's Temple blows up, and she gets her ugly revenge at a high, painful cost.
Arya gets her revenge too on the one that made murder her mother and brother.
Jon Snow is nominated North's King with Sansa's endorsement, and at the end of the episode shows us Jon's unexpected origin.
Daenerys starts her "trip" to the Occidental with a huge number of ships.
The ultimate frames are for Cersei's coronation.
The House That Jack Built (2018)
I can't rate it, stopped
It's a good movie from Lars Von Trier, but in a certain moment, while the film was talking about Jack's childhood, I stopped it as I saw a little boy cutting a duck's paw.
They can tell us the usual words about no wounds on animals and so on, but the Director's talent has always a brutal real effect on my mind.
Game of Thrones: The Lion and the Rose (2014)
I don't give a 10 easily, but...
Honestly, my love for this series is growing episode after episode, and I gave many 9s. In this episode I must thank the writer because it's the episode where the evil odious Geoffrey finally dies!!!!!
Corro da te (2022)
6,5 my vote, nice and a bit magic
In the end you're going to find a happy one with smiles all around and a truly nice feeling of happiness. We can say that a plot like this can face real facts maybe happened to someone. The soundtrack is awesome.
Catfish: The TV Show: Jay & Anna (2020)
Spectacular rage watching this
I can't resist reporting how much wrath I felt watching and listening to the fictional confession by the catfish of this episode.
A bad person living in Las Vegas uses a false female profile with a nice guy that is incomplete paraplegic, and this rogue, in my opinion, is one of the worst I've ever seen on Catfish.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: In the Year We All Fell Down (2021)
Amazing analysis of pandemic's effects
This episode has the power to make you feel how bad it was, and maybe it's still going on, the life of a Restaurant and its property.
Captain Benson is giving all her mental strength to keep things together while talking and convincing Mrs Vanessa not to act like a criminal during her short mental illness due to the bankruptcy of her business. Carisi is near Rollins while her father's ischemic attack.
47 Meters Down: Uncaged (2019)
Better than previous? No.
The plot begins better than the previous episode with a family portrait clear and mixed with love and drama as the life in school of the two "sisters" too.
We can see the first shark after 28 minutes... OMG! The tense is high but not so accurate, and the confusion reigns. The final act is, in my opinion, a bit ridiculous, with the time bullet scene by Sophie Nélisse and the two "sisters" both grabbed by the sharks but saved by the blonde supergirl.
47 Meters Down (2017)
Not exactly exciting
I'm seriously asking all of you if you can explain me the final.. Characters not clear, the sisters look like two lambs ready for the slaughter, the script too much easy. Tense 50%-50% then... Failure!!
Karim (2021)
Good tense, until the end...
Great thriller, good performances by all the cast. O. S. T. Sounds very interesting mixed with the scenes. I give it a 6, because I can swear this movie can keep you tensed, until the end where the final explosion blows up quite everything: the one with the explosion botton in his hand looks like he's the one not so wounded; and the last fight between Karim and Bledi isn't so exciting. Anyway I can say that it's a nice move, if anyone asks.
Ai confini del male (2021)
Full 6, good entertainment
Nice scrypt with many dramatic turns, great performances by the primary actors that give strong attention to their characters. The original soundtrack is very interesting and tuned in to the story. In the original audio we can hear the dramatic words and feel the impact they can give.
Gone Baby Gone (2007)
Tough final
I'm giving 8: the cast and their performances are fantastic. What can I say without spoiler? Well, there are times, in life, that you choose the right thing to do, even if it is difficult, and you can discover, later, that you haven't considered all the pros and cons.
Catfish: The TV Show: Aaliyah & Jaquan (2020)
I love the happy ending
A pure thrilling episode where a fantastic young choreographer named Aaliyah starts to lose the trust in her internet-love Jaquan... Step by step the truth comes over and all the suspects and bad signs are washed away by the meeting of the two lovers.
