This was a fair episode but was a little hard to follow as Judy Carne had a sort of funny speech pattern(she was British) that was hard to understand at times, which really put a damper on the episode. Hoss carries the whole episode and did a good job. I barely remember Carne from the series, Love on a Rooftop and Laugh In and do not remember if she talked like that on those shows but I do remember she started the iconic phrase on Laugh In - "Sock it to Me". Later she had a tragic life.

Great episode. Best I've seen. Judith Carne gives an amazing performance as novice nun. Dan Blocker was quite an actor. He had little trouble carrying an episode without other Cartwrights.Hoss would have made a good Catholic. Episode looks at challenges of obedience and putting others ahead of yourself. Wonderful look at Christian life.
One of the best episodes of the series

A very touching episode and Judy Carne, who is a comedian, did a very good job as the young nun from Ireland and Boston, hoping to make a life for herself as one of God's helpers. Dan Blocker was great as usual as 'Hoss'. This was the type episode Mike Landon talking about when he came up with 'Little House on the Prairie', and 'Highway to Heaven'. He said these 'tearjerkers' were the highest rated episodes on 'Bonanza', and did the same for his other two hit series. 'A Question of Strength' really brought a tear to your eye.
